Gordon Ramsay Is Stepping Up Food Standards, One Airport At A Time

on

Looks like airports around the world are enjoying the holiday season, and we don’t just mean in terms of footfall. After Bobby Flay announced the launch of his burger joint at Atlanta International Airport, it’s Chef Gordon Ramsay who comes bearing some great news for flyers.

Travelling Just Got More Palatable

Close to a decade after setting up Gordon Ramsay Plane Food in London’s Heathrow Airport, the chef is now looking to expand the venture across various airports around the world!

“Plane Food To Go is a truly revolutionary concept that will roll out worldwide and build upon the massive success of the original Plane Food dining experience from Heathrow T5,” Ramsay said in a statement. “As someone who is in a different airport terminal every week, I know first hand how much Plane Food To Go will enhance every on-the-go traveler’s dining experience.”

For the uninitiated, Plane Food is popular for its amazing takeaway as well as sit-down options, which include grubs like burrata salads, salt-and-pepper squid, and short rib beef burger, which customers can wash down with some wine. Meanwhile, passengers who want to spare themselves the ordeal of going through an in-flight meal, can pick from Ramsay’s “grab-and-go” menu that boasts of breakfast options, desserts, snacks, beverages, sandwiches, and more.

While their locations haven’t yet been disclosed, the new outlets that are being brought up in partnership with the SSP Group will shine the spotlight more on the restaurant’s “Picnic Menu” that carries four course set meals complete with starters, mains, desserts, and water.
