Gorge On Delectable Dishes Curated By Sarah Todd In Mumbai
The Wine Rack has opened its doors to the most happening places in Mumbai – Highstreet Phoenix. The menu ranges from North India to European and even Continental to go perfectly with the massive varietals and choices of wine. Here’s what we found on opening the large glass door of The Wine Rack.
MasterChef Sarah Todd At Her Best
Sarah Todd is phenomenal at cooking and all those who’ve seen her journey in MasterChef Australia will know what we’re talking about. She’s trained in French cooking at Le Cordon Bleu and has a successfully running restaurant in Goa – Antares. The Wine Rack is her first venture in Mumbai and quite a unique one at that as all you see around you is are massive racks of wine. They even have a glamorous bar that not only serves an exhaustive range of spirits but signature cocktails too.
Speaking of the menu, Todd has playfully revamped the whole experience of Indian food and paired it beautifully with international flavours. Who could’ve imagined a Karari Roti with Bolognese and brie dip? Or Chettinad Vada Pav with white wine pineapple relish? The flavours are impeccable and the taste buds are satiated the moment you take a bite!
We loved sipping on the wines and relished the delicious antipasti, karari roti along with the array of cheese, hummus, thin crust pizzas, duck kulchas and crab pakodas. The ambience is inviting and the music gets louder as the evening grows darker. The food paired perfectly with the wines just the way it was intended to and gave a medley of new flavours. Kudos to Sarah Todd and her whole team at The Wine Rack.
