Has Gourmet Meal Delivery Service, Eatonomist Shut Down?
Eatonomist, a gourmet food delivery service has reportedly shut down, according to a report from VCC Circle. While the service’s website show’s that it will be back shortly, its Google profile says it is permanently closed.
The Eatonomist Service
Eatonomist was co-founded by Anisha Dhar and Nupur Khanna in 2015 as an meal delivery optinon which would allow customers healthy meals delivered to their offices and homes.
Operating in Gurugram, the service had a list of dishes from soups, salads and mains under 300 and 500 calorie counts. Healthy dishes included the Veg Rogan Josh and the mock meat whole wheat spaghetti.
In May 2016, Eatonomist recieved an undisclosed amount of funding from MCube Capital Advisors PVT.
Moving On?
According to the VC Circle Report, Nupur Khanna left Eatonomist in November 2016.
Meanwhile, Dhar’s Linkedin profile states that she has joined the Growth & Expansion – Launch Team at UberEATS in Gurgaon.
UberEATS launched in Mumbai a few weeks ago and is working towards expanding its presence across India.
