Here’s Why Nestle India Is Looking To Partner With Startups

on

Nestle India has announced that it is looking to tie up with Indian startups which will help create products, improve marketing and enhance Nestle’s digital presence.

The move is modelled after Nestle’s Henri@Nestle initiative in the US. In the words of its website, Henri@Nestle combines “combine the creative spirit and ingenuity of external innovators with the scale and expertise of the world’s leading Nutrition, Health and Wellness company. Together, we’ll tackle projects that will make a genuine difference, not just to Nestlé and our partners, but to hundreds of millions of people across the world.”

Through Henri@Nestle, Nestle hopes start ups will help come up with solutions and ideas which will help families with their portion control and give new mums a helping hand.

Looking For Start Ups In India

Similarly, Nestle India is looking at start-ups to help come up with solutions for briefs the company prescribes. This can, for instance include looking for start-ups to find ways to “inspired consumers to cook at home,” which will benefit its Maggi brand.

A probable solution could be a voice-based system that gives you step-by-step instructions on how to cook,” said Chandrasekhar Radhakrishnan, head of communication and e-commerce at Nestle India. “Startups can help Nestle solve business and brand problems and look beyond just products.”

If a startup has a viable solution for the scenarios Nestle India wants solved, the company will find them a time frame and a budget.
