India Bound Passengers Of Emirates Got Treated To Sweets On Holi
Emirates flights bound towards Indian cities like Delhi, Mumbai, Kolkata, Ahmedabad, Bangalore, Chennai and Hyderabad had a treat awaiting them. F&B News reports that these passengers got special sweets on their journey on Holi. Each passenger received a ‘Happy Holi’ box that included a Gujiya, a traditional sweet distributed on the festival.

“We know how important Holi is to our Indian passengers and the role food plays in such festivals, evoking nostalgia and a sense of unity. We simply wanted to bring the comforts of home to those travelling during that time and add to their Holi celebrations. Emirates wishes all Indians a very happy and colourful Holi,” said Essa Suleiman Ahmad, vice-president, India and Nepal, Emirates in a statement.
The report by F&B News also mentions a special effort by the Emirates’ premium lounge in Delhi that served gujiya with saffron flavour along with Dahi Bhalle on Holi. Emirates is known to come up with seasonal menu on auspicious and important festivals like Holi, Christmas, Oktoberfest, Easter, Ramadan and Diwali.
