InnerChef Takes Over EatOnGo & Flavour Labs

NCR-based foodtech start-up InnerChef successively acquired Bengaluru-based set-up EatOngo and Gurgaon-based food truck enterprise Flavour Labs yesterday in a lookout to expand its business.

EatOnGo, which was founded by former Myntra employee Tarun Raaj Aggarwal and ffod tech engineer Udit Saran, specializes in Indian and Continental brunches and breakfasts.

Flavor Labs, on the other, was theorized at the Stanford Business School’s Ignite program in innovation and entrepreneurship and was subsequently founded by Nandita Shetty, Rohan Rajgarhia, Ankur Agarwal and Vasanth Kamath in 2014. The concept has popularized the idea of food trucks with their fun and eclectic menu.IMG_5881

According to InnerChef, taking over Flavour Labs will enable the former to step foot into the mobile kitchen arena, while EatOnGo will facilitate it to penetrate deeper in the Bengaluru market.

Also, the InnerChef founders explained that the deals were more of acqui-hires, that is, acquisitions of talent rather than the business/technology of the companies.

Although the financial particulars of both the deals are yet to be disclosed, Inner Chef co-founder, Rajesh Sawhney said in a statement, “these acquisitions will help InnerChef deepen its offerings to the two of the fastest growing markets in India: NCR and Bangalore. We are also acquiring talent who share our passion for food and technology.”purani-dilli
