Jay Z Is In A Restaurants State Of Mind, New Place Will Be Called ‘Hovino’
The Carters are planning on expanding their already sprawling empire. The latest addition to the singer’s roster of enterprises in reportedly going to be a restaurant. Additionally, Jay Z (nee Shawn Carter) is also going to expand his existing line of clothing.
According to E! News reports, Jay Z’s company S. Carter Enterprises recently secured a trademark for the name Hovino. As per the papers, this trademark will be used for “goods and services” related to “restaurant and café services, carry-out restaurant services, pubs, cocktail lounges, wine bars, and more.”
This won’t be the Family Feud singer’s first restaurant venture. He already owns the 40/40 Club, a sports bar and lounge, which are clearly not enough for the overachieving entrepreneur. Hovino will be a takeaway chain and will be in direct competition with players like McDonald’s. So, soon enough we may be gobbling up some meaty burger and fries from the American rapper’s trademarked kitchen.
Meanwhile, Carter is also looking to grow his fashion line, Paper Planes. In collaboration with Roc Nation, the brand already featured clothing but will now transform into a full-fledged brand, carrying athletic gym bags, tour books, jewelry, and possibly a cosmetic line.
