Jugnoo’s Ready-To-Eat Food Delivery System Comes To Gurgaon
Chandigarh-based on-demand service provider Jugnoo, which engages auto ricks as logistics partners, recently, ventured into the ready-to-eat meal delivery segment. As reported earlier, the auto-rick aggregator announced the meal service called ‘Meals’ as part of the company’s newly launched Fatafat app (available on Android or iOS), that allows patrons in Chandigarh to order ready-to-eat meals during lunch right to their doorstep.
Following their launch in Chandigarh and Jaipur, Meals is now coming to Gurgaon, Haryana. Nitish Singh, chief financial officer, Jugnoo, who also heads the Fresh and Meals verticals said, “After launching the service in Chandigarh and Jaipur, venturing into Gurugram was quick and easy, especially to end the year with optimism.”

“Additionally, factoring in the improving auto-rickshaw situation in the city, the idea is to keep auto drivers profitably engaged. Also, as a huge number of people relocate to the city for work from different parts of the country, they find it difficult to order homely food at affordable rates. We are trying to bridge this gap for them,” he added.
The venture orders an uber flexible ordering time bracket for the consumers – lunch can be ordered between 12.30pm and 4.30pm, while dinner can be ordered between 7.30pm and 10.30pm. Moreover, Meals lets you transact with digital money with utter ease, as the company saw a 100% spike in digital payments post the demonetization move. So you can pull out your mobile wallets and get ready to order some great food!

Speaking of, the menu too packs a punch with food items that change everyday to give regular customers a wide variety of choices to pick from. “We also give our customers an option to choose their delivery slot, so that they can get warm food delivered to their doorsteps.
“At Jugnoo, we emphasise on keeping the food less spicy and oily, making it a healthier option for people, who order their meals daily,” Singh added.
The meals will be cooked and prepared in Meals’ in-house kitchen, packaged and delivered by the team. The start-up is currently receiving up to a hundred orders per day, and further aims at achieving a target of almost 500 orders per day every month.
