K Hospitality Plans To Expand Its Copper Chimney Brand This Year
K Hospitality Corp, the company which operates the immensely popular Copper Chimney restaurant chain plans to aggressively expand to increase its presence both in India and overseas. Copper Chimney already has two outlets in Kuwait; in these upcoming expansions the group plans to add more restaurants in West Asia.
Copper Chimney’s Coups
Established in 1972 in Worli, Mumbai Copper Chimney was started by Jagdish Kapur who wanted to take flavours form North and North Western India across India. Today, Copper Chimney has restaurants in Mumbai, Bangalore, Chandigarh, Chennai, Raipur, Pune and Kolkata.
There are also two Copper Chimney restaurants in Al-Bida’a and Avenue Mall in Kuwait.
Expansion Plans
For their overseas expansion, K Hospitality has entered an agreement with Emirates International Group, which will aid them in opening five copper Chimney restaurants in the UAE over the next five years , two of which will be in Dubai and Abu Dhabi.
“Given the huge Indian Diaspora and well-recognised Indian cuisine, West Asia seemed to be the first choice for entering overseas market. We are looking for Greenfield opportunities in other countries and are in talks with a few for scaling up,” said Karan Kapur, the Executive Director of K Hospitality Corp to the Business Line.
Additionally, the company will open more Copper Chimney restaurants in Mumbai, Bengaluru, New Delhi, Kolkata and Delhi.
Meanwhile, K Hospitality will also be expanding the presence of its other restaurant chains; Bombay Brassiere and Irish House.
