From ‘Kai Po Che!’ To ‘Raabta’, Here’s The Diet That Kept Sushant Singh Rajput Going
Of the many new faces to have hit out Multiplex screens in the past few years, Sushant Singh Rajput is one of the prominent and dazzling ones. The actor who switched from television to the silver screen has had a promising run on the Box Office and we cannot help but attribute some of that success to his fitness and physique. From his energetic vibe in Kai Po Che! To his brooding and athletic form in Dhoni – The Untold Story, Rajput has never disappointed.
The actor is back with yet another movie, Raabta, but before that we got a glimpse of him on this month’s Vogue cover with Kendall Jenner shot by photographer Mario Testino. And we can’t help but drool all over that fab form! So we thought we’d take a look at his fitness regime. Here’s what the actor does to maintain his million-dollar physique.
Workout
Apparently not much of a gym fanatic, the actor prefers a four-day a week workout that helps him burn excessive calories, reduces the risk of high blood pressure, heart diseases and diabetes. This plan also gives him stronger bones, improved metabolism, and peaceful sleep. But in addition to good ol’ gymming, Sushant resorts to an interesting workout mix that includes the following exercises –
- Wing Chun Kung Fu – for better arm strength, maintaining a better posture, increasing the strength in the legs, making the body flexible, and burning excess body fat.
- Horse Riding – more than an exercise, this one’s a hobby for the Raabta Apart from keeping him active, it also helps him increase stamina and keep his muscles strong and toned.
- Ballet – that’s right, ballet. The dance form is another one of Rajput’s hobbies, which he took up during his preparation for Jhalak Dikhla Jaa to step up his fitness level and dancing ability. According to him, ballet helps in coordination of various limbs, burning fat, and improving cardio health.
Diet
What’s a good workout sans proper eating habits? The actor swears by clean and healthy eating. And that means he had to give up even some of his favourite grubs including aloo and gobi paranthas, which he switched up for boiled vegetables, protein shakes, and sprouts. According to him, even one extra calorie messes up your fitness goals. Hence, it is better to stick to a balanced meal and control the cravings.
However, the actor does have his occasional bouts of hunger, which he weathers with healthy munching options like boiled sprouts, which he always carries along to avoid consuming junk or unhealthy snacks. Moreover, he steers clear off fried foods.
Sushant Singh Rajput’s fitness trainer, Samee Ahmed, recently took to Instagram to laud the actor’s discipline and commitment. Take a look!
