Did You Know That An Ice Cream Diet Exists
Remember how the internet collectively rejoiced when we discovered that a pizza diet not only exists but also works? Well, we’ve got news that can top that! There now exists an ice cream diet. Sure, it follows the logic behind the concept of calorie cutting, but come on, it’s ice cream!
Labelled the “Ice Cream Diet”, it supposedly has the potential to help you lose weight, reduce your PMS symptoms, reduce your risk of developing colon cancer and lower your blood pressure. The “Ice Cream Diet” was first coined in a book of the same name by Holly McCord back in 2002.
Treat Yourself
In the book, McCord encourages people to eat a portion of ice cream every day as part of the diet, as long as they simultaneously follow a healthy eating regime. She recommends that a person eat 1,250 calories a day as well as a portion of ice cream for a grand total of 1,500 calories.
McCord believes that including ice cream in your diet will make you feel less deprived when you’re eating smaller amounts than usual, in addition to the frozen dessert being high in calcium. So, perhaps the trick to losing weight while dieting is to treat yoself?
