Lite Bite Foods Gets Rights To Develop Eateries At Airports
According to a recent report by the Economic Times, Lite Bite Foods has been given the right to open new outlets at 5-tier and 2-tier airports in the country. The company has 140 eateries under them, some popular names like Punjab Grill, Baker Street and Street Foods.
More Food Outlets At Airports
The report further says that Lite Bite Foods is planning to open 60 outlets across the country’s airports in the coming financial year. The company owns 12 brands and amongst the seven that they manage at the airports include names like KFC, Burger King, Subway and Pizza Hut.
“Travel by Indians is going up and we want to look at airport travel retail as a separate business vertical. We have had experience of running eateries at airports. We have bagged master concession for Indore, Ahmedabad, Coonoor, Calicut, and Bhubaneshwar airports,” Lite Bite Foods chairman Amit Burman told the Economic Times. “We are also looking at expanding the existing presence at the Jammu and Pune Airports,” he added.
