Manchester Restaurant Leaves Bags Of Food Outside For The Needy
A good deed done by a Manchester restaurant was reported by the Manchester Evening News wherein the staff leaves out bags full of food for those who are homeless. The place is called Bosu Body Bar located on the Cross Street.
The Deed Goes Viral
The news came to light when the owner decided to post a picture of few such bags of food on Facebook along with a caption, ‘When we close the doors for the day, we promise to leave bags outside full of tasty food. If you see anyone on the streets of Manchester or Didsbury who look hungry, let them know where they can find a meal in a bag. Spread the love always.’
The post then went viral getting thousands of likes plus shares and comments in hundreds. The comments were filled with praise about the good deed by the restaurant owners and it even got shared on other social media platforms like Twitter and Instagram. The owners even told the Manchester Evening News that they have set up The Bosu Project to continue the process throughout winter.
The Do-Good Owners
The owners are Michael Beck and his sister, Sarah who along with their business partners, Oliver Drummond and Josef Ramzi-Faddoul told the publication that they will be contacting charities in order to organise the food collection. This further ensures that food is reaching to those who need it.
“It was quite overwhelming,” said Beck talking about the viral post. “We’re not the only ones doing it and we’re certainly not the only people who care about people in need, but hopefully other people who have seen it will now do the same. It’s either that or the bin, it’s as simple as that.”
