McDonald’s Japan Launches A Cheese Filled Pork Burger Which Will Have You Drooling
While Shake Shack Japan was recently in the news for serving up the Den Shack, a Michelin starred burger, McDonald’s Japan has now also grabbed headlines for a new limited edition item; the cheese Katsu burger.
Porkin’ Around
The Cheese Katsu burger was first introduced to the Japanese public in 1991. Now, to celebrate McDonald’s 45 year presence in Japan, the chain has brought the Cheese Katsu burger back to the delight of foodies across the nation.

The word ‘katsu’ in Jpanese generally translates to a breaded deep fried pork cutlet. The cheese Katsu Burger therefore has a deep fried pork patty filled with cheese, cabbage and mayonnaise between two buns. A tvc released featuring the burger captures sentiments customer will feel on eating it:
