McDonald’s Has Released A Fun and Engaging Campaign To Promote The Junior Maharaja Mac In India


McDonald’s in India has been known for creating really interesting and delicious versions of their burgers and introducing new things every now and then. Earlier this year, they introduced the various sizes of the Maharaja Mac with a mini-version called the Junior Maharaja Mac. This new burger is making its debut across McDonald’s restaurants in the West and South of India.

The Junior Maharaja Mac has been introduced onto the McDonald’s menu for a limited time only, giving McDonald’s fans and new visitors a chance to try the iconic burger, but at a smaller size. Instead of a double patty burger, customers will now get a single patty. For vegetarians, the patty is a rich and crusty cheesy corn patty served with a vegetable cocktail sauce that is made from jalapeño slices, red onion slices, cheddar cheese slice and crispy iceberg lettuce. In the non-vegetarian section, a flame-grilled patty made up of whole meat sourced from the leg, breast and thigh of the chicken is sandwiched between the signature bun, and dressed with Habanero sauce.

Speaking about this, Kedar Teny, Director of Marketing and Digital at McDonald’s said, “We constantly evolve our menu to address the needs of our consumers and hence we wanted to create a platform that allows our consumers to make the most of simple moments in life. The Maharaja Mac is India’s equivalent to the international Big Mac and the popularity of this burger inspired us to bring out yet another innovation of our menu with the Junior Maharaja Mac which is part of our value format. We believe there is a Mac for every occasion and this campaign reiterates that life’s most treasured moments can be savoured with a Junior Maharaja Mac.”

The vegetarian Junior Maharaja Mac is priced at Rs. 95 and the non-vegetarian Junior Maharaja Mac is priced at Rs. 99.

To promote the launch of the new burgers, McDonald’s has released a series of commercials through a new campaign conceptualised by Leo Burnett Mumbai.
