McDonald’s Is Testing A New Kind Of Big Mac, Read On To Find Out More
The Big Mac is a big deal, in every way. It’s the one burger that defines McDonald’s and that kind of food. Fast food has been a growing industry for years and that’s not going to change any time soon. In fact, to keep up with the growing trends and preferences of their customers, McDonald’s is looking to introduce a whole new kind of burger – Sriracha Big Mac.
They’ve already started testing this new Big Mac in 126 restaurants in Columbus, Ohio.
Earlier this year, they tested a Sriracha Mac dipping sauce in San Diego, Seattle and Los Angeles, which is also available with the new Big Mac. McDonald’s has been adapting and changing the menu to suit the wants and needs of customers, so this new burger variation shouldn’t come as much of a surprise.
Folks will be excited to know that for a few weeks in early 2017, the Sriracha Big Mac will be available in a mini and grand size. According to BuzzFeed, the use of Sriracha sauce will mark the first time the chain has changed the ingredients of the burger for a new flavour profile.
McDonald’s has been updating and revising their popular items to sustain a sales turnaround in the US. For starters, they took out the artificial preservatives in the ingredients used in McNuggets, they also use butter instead of margarine in the McMuffins and most importantly, the buns used in their burgers are now sweetened with sugar instead of high fructose corn syrup.
Whether or not these burgers will make their way to the Indian and Asian markets is still unknown. But with Sriracha finally entering the Indian retail space, there’s a good chance that they might introduce it here as well. In the mean time, we’ll just have to wait and see how this all turns out.
