Mentioning Your Food Preferences On Dating App Might Get Your More Dates
Name the right kind of food and you may evoke an interest in someone using the dating app suggests a data from one such site. According to the report by Life Hacker, the analysis also includes the kind of food that one should mention and those one should refrain from.
Food To Win Dates
The makers of dating app called Zoosk made an analysis of 3.7 million dating profiles and went through 364 million first messages says the publication. Further the analysts even surveyed more than 7000 people who are single to observe how food plays a role in an interaction with a prospective date. The result was that food mattered a lot and that foods like guacamole, potatoes, chocolate, salad, and sushi made an impact if mentioned in the profile.
This the analysts said that helped grow the average of incoming messages and they also specified not to mention yams which caused a drop of 70 percent. More in the list of ‘to avoid’ food includes buffalo wings, ribs, Indian food, and basically anything that is hard to pronounce. Instead the analysis suggests mentions of seafood and we’re sure Joey Tribbiani fans would agree. The other popular food includes steak, Mexican food, pasta, and sushi.
The analysis also gave a special mention about the line in a popular Netflix show Master of None that says, “Going to Whole Foods, want me to pick you up anything?” and called it a risk. 3,600 men tried the line and got an average result where on the other hand incoming messages for women increased by 31 percent.
