Mumbai Based Holachef Acquired By Foodpanda

The cloud kitchen based in Mumbai Holachef has been acquired by Foodpanda reports the Economic Times. This was a distress sale and soon the latter will be taking over the kitchens and overall business of Holachef along and will be running their employees.

Holachef Goes To Foodpanda

The report further says that this move also marks the initiation of the cloud kitchen space business for Foodpanda and its competitors for this would be companies like Faasos, FreshMenu, Swiggy and Zomato. It further says that Saurabh Saxena and Anil Gelra who founded Holachef would be joining as leaders after moving over to Foodpanda.

“We aim to build India’s largest cloud kitchen network that will be a major step in further elevating the food experience for our customer,” Pranay Jivrajka, chief executive of Foodpanda told the Economic Times. Its report further adds that this sale will leave nothing for the investors of Holachef which has been in the market for four years.
