Mumbai Is Hosting A Smoked Food Festival At High Street Phoenix Today
Smoked food is a popular technique of cooking which can be traced back to prehistoric periods; it was used to preserve protein rich foods. Today, we continue to smoke foods; while we have fridges and freezers to preserve food, we still enjoy the smoky, rich taste.

Now, Mumbaikars can get a taste of smoked food galore at High Street Phoenix’s Smoked Food Festival which began yesterday.
The Festival will be held at the popular mall in Lower Parel and have a range of vegetarian and non vegetarian dishes including smoked panzanella salad, smokey woodman pizza, smoked Hydrebadi briyani, smoked black forest ham bruschetta and smoked cheese.
“For the first time, we are hosting a themed food festival and we hope that our customers try different cuisines made in the smoke preparation that will be offered by our restaurants,” said Rajendra Kalkar, President West at The Phoenix Mills Ltd.
The festival will end on January 29th.
