NBA Players Have Lots Of Food On Their India Itinerary
As the country’s sport lovers get high on the IPL cricket fever, basketball fans are rooting for the NBA players Seth Curry and Robin Lopez who are visiting India. The basketball stars Curry and Lopez, who play for the Sacramento Kings and the New York Knicks respectively, are in Delhi for a training camp planned by the NBA.
Desi Itinerary
The two have their trip ahead all planned out. From starting their trip with a Mumbai vs Kolkata game to shooting hoops with celebrity host Rannvijay Singh, followed by some sight seeing, they want to do it all.
“I know that I’m going to see the Taj Mahal. I’m definitely going to make good use of the trip and see a lot of sights. I just want to see as much of India as possible while I’m here”, says Lopez.
Foodistan
Apart from indulging in uber touristy things like visiting the Taj Mahal, the duo will also dig into some desi cuisine. Seth Curry’s intimate affair with food doesn’t come as a surprise given sister-in-law Ayesha Curry’s successful venture into the field. Add to that a long acquaintance with NBA teammate Sim Bhullar and you’ve got yourself Curry’s reason behind loving Indian food.
“Sim was in the team before I got there, but I have seen him and spoken to him a few times. He is very passionate about the game and told me a lot about the country before we came here. Honestly, I’ve heard a lot about the food, and although I don’t have any specific dishes in mind, I want to try as much of it as possible while I’m here,” he told TOI.
