Operations Begin On The Hi-Tech Food Warehouse At Cargill India Plant
According to an update by Avvashya CCI (ACCI), an Allcargo Logistics unit, operations have begun on the first hi-tech plant by the unit located at the Cargill India Plant. The warehouse is equipped with automatic storage and retrieval system (ASRS) technology. This plant is located at Kurkumbh near Pune, Maharashtra.

It is also a perfect synergy of operational excellence and technical skills of the CL team and business leadership team of ACCI which oversaw the rollout and implementation of the project,” says V.Raju, VP-Chemical, Food & Pharma division, ACCI.
Currently the operations at the Cargill India plant warehouse have started off with the first palletized cartons of bottled vegetable oil. These bottles moved from the production lines and were checked and received at the warehouse before being stored on the racks. The racking system in semi-automated with 7,200 pallet positions comprising a G+4 rack with Orbiter system. The warehouse spreads over the expanse of 60,000 square feet and is equipped with PEB structure with clear height of 11 m with natural daylight. It also receives air ventilation through Turbo Ventilators.
