People Are Not Happy With This Celeb For Endorsing ‘Appetite Suppressant Lollipops’
Influencer, reality star, socialite, and social media queen, Kim Kardashian West is known to be on top of her fitness and body goals game. With fans following in her steps to that fab form, it is only fair of some to expect healthy bits of advice from the Keeping Up With The Kardashians star. Something she may have fallen short of, healthy advice, that is. Or so one of her recent posts suggest.
Kardashian West recently took to Instagram to promote a lollipop. Sounds pretty innocent, doesn’t it? Only that this wasn’t just any lollipop, it was an appetite suppressant lollipop. While people who are on some twisted quick weight loss regime (which is a terrible idea, by the way), may have loved the candy, certain others were more concerned about the kind of “toxic” impact Kardashian-West was having on teenagers and young people with her #sponcon (sponsored content).
A number of followers and social media personalities called out the star for promoting bad eating choices and also in a way eating disorders. “If your body is telling you to eat you’re meant to eat, not suppress it. Legit why people have body image issues because people advertise stupid crap like this”, a follower’s comment read on Kardashian’s post.
Are These For Real?
Yes, they are. Apparently, the lollipops, which are produced by Flat Tummy Co, promise their secret ingredient “Satiereal”, a “clinically proven” active ingredient extracted from natural plants, will “maximise satiety”, making you feel less hungry, read a report. Umm, no thank you!
While Kim has taken down the original post that read laurels of @flattummyco’s “unreal” appetite suppressing lollipops, a picture of the KUWTK star is still up on her profile, albeit without any worded caption or description.
