Pieces of Selfie Toast and Selfie Cookies Are Actually A Thing!
We’ve become a society obsessed with selfies. You’ve probably seen thousands of people take selfies everyday and selfie sticks cropping up everywhere, but what really drove home the selfie craze were two creations that we recently stumbled upon. Folks, meet the selfie toaster and selfie cookies.
The Selfie Toaster
Every morning, you can wake up to piles of toast with your own face stamped across them, thanks to the Vermont Novelty Toaster Corp.
Simply send a photograph of yourself over to the company (preferably a high resolution shot, with a neutral background) and they’ll first Photoshop it to create a template, which they’ll feed to a CNC machine which will replicate that template on a metal plate. The customised metal plate is then sent over to you along with the toaster, so you can slip it in whenever you feel the need to eat your own face.
Naturally, such technology doesn’t come cheap; your first toaster will cost you $75. If you’re keen on buying toasters with templates for your whole family, you’ll get a discount and experience some truly weird breakfast scenes.
Selfie Cookies
Selfiecookie is a company based in New York that creates – yes, you guessed it – selfie cookies for every occasion. Each 2.25″ cookie (you can choose between sugar, red velvet cookie dough, chocolate chip and oatmeal raisin) has a selfie that the customer sends over printed on it in edible food dye.
“Give someone a taste of who you really are,” says Selfiecookie’s website. If you feel like there’s someone in your life who will truly appreciate your face on a cookie, head over to their website and order a batch of cookies; while the smallest order is 2 cookies for $5, you can also throw an extravagant ‘me’ themed party with an order of seven dozen cookies at $144.99.
