Pizza Hut Inaugurates Its 9000th Outlet And Ties Up With Mumbai Dabbawalas For Delivery
The popular pizza chain, Pizza Hut has opened its 9000th outlet in Mumbai and the first 9000 pizzas were delivered by the legend delivery men of the city – Dabbawallas. According to a tweet by the brand, the grand opening of the outlet took place on Monday.

Plans To Double The Outlets In India
According to reports by the Economic Times, Pizza Hut plans to open more than 700 outlets in the next five years in India, doubling its current number of 350 stores. “Pizza Hut is in 105 countries across the world and we choose India for celebrating this milestone because it is one of the key countries for accelerating the global growth,” Pizza Hut International President Milind Pant told the publication.
“India now has five consecutive quarters of same store sales growth and it’s on cusp of accelerating growth. It’s always been a big potential market for us,” Pant added. Unnat Varma, Managing Director of Pizza Hut India told the Economic Times, “Pizza Hut has grown stronger in India over the last 20 years, and we believe our digital-centric delivery and contemporary, open kitchen restaurants will build the next generation of pizza lovers to further reinforce Pizza Hut as the most loved and trusted food service brands in India.”
