Pizza Hut Reveals System Hack After Two Whole Weeks To Customers
The giant pizza chain had got their systems hacked in the US that compromised the information of their customers like names, residential address and payment settings. At least 60,000 customers’ privacy was on the mercy of the hackers and Pizza Hut kept quiet about this for two weeks according to reports by Food Beast.
Privacy Risked By Pizza Hut
All the customers who placed an order on 2nd October exposed their personal data while doing so to the hackers. The fact that the pizza chain didn’t go public but informed customers by email that they have been financially compromised didn’t go down well with them especially the fact that they were informed so late about it.
Hey @pizzahut, thanks for telling me you got hacked 2 weeks after you lost my cc number. And a week after someone started using it.#timely

Pizza Hut was meanwhile figuring how big the hack was along with offering free credit monitoring for those who were affected by the breach. The chain is also working along with outer cybersecurity firms so that future hacks can be prevented.
