Popular Pan-Asian Chain ‘Wok To Walk’ To Set Foot In These 6 Indian Cities Soon

on

Asian food lovers in India, rejoice! Popular Pan-Asian Quick Service Restaurant (QSR) chain, Wok to Walk is all set to expand aggressively in the Indian market and a bunch of top metro cities are its next destination. The chain, which set foot in India towards the end of last year through a master franchisee, has already set up three outlets in the last six months and is looking to up its outlet count through a mix of own outlets and sub-franchisee route.

The master franchisee, Kram Infracon, is in the process of finalizing sub-franchisees for six major Indian cities – Delhi NCR, Jaipur, Bengaluru, Chandigarh, Dehradun, and Lucknow – in the coming months. The company ultimately targets the presence of at least 100 Wok To Walk outlets over the next five years, while setting shop in not less than 10 outlets in 2018. Interestingly, the first Wok to Walk restaurant opened in Amsterdam in 2004, and currently has about 100 QSR outlets in 15 countries.

Gautam Kamra, General Manager (India), Wok to Walk, said that the company has started the “filtering” process based on the queries received and would be finalising partnerships shortly. Kamra further added that they would be considering the capabilities of the partner in opening multiple outlets within a city or a region for partnerships.

What’s On The Menu?

All that business talk is good, but here’s the million-dollar question: what’s on the menu? Wok To Walk is known for its focus on healthy food with high nutrition value. “With rice and noodles as the base, customers can select their favourite toppings. The food is prepared in front of the customer and served within five minutes of taking the order. We don’t use MSG in our food, that is our USP,” Kamra said.

In addition to healthy options, Wok to Walk also specializes in custom-made, fresh, nutritious, and quick stir-fried Asian cuisine. The chain ups the consumers’ fitness ante by even amping the online menu with a nutrition calculator! Healthy food lovers, you too can rejoice!
