The Big Bang Theory Creamy Tomato Soup Recipe
Sheldon on one fine day says that all Wednesdays are the new comic days along with a creamy tomato soup day. The day is meant for gathering up on junk food and that’s what we love too! So let’s make a delicious creamy tomato soup because not only are we prepping for Wednesdays or reading comics but also for winters!

Ingredients
- 1/4 cup unsalted butter
- 10 sprigs thyme tied in a bundle
- 1 thinly sliced onion
- 2 cloves thinly sliced garlic
- 1/4 cup tomato paste
- 56 ounces chopped tomatoes
- 2 tsps sugar
- 1/4 cup heavy cream
- Salt for seasoning

Instructions
- Begin by placing a heavy vessel on a medium flame and melt some butter in it.
- Once the butter has melted, add thyme, onion and garlic.
- Stir and cook til the onion turns soft which takes about ten minutes.
- Increase the flame to medium high and add tomato paste to the pan.
- Stir frequently and keep cooking till the paste begin to caramelise and some places which takes about five minutes.
- Now add the tomatoes along with sugar and water.
- At this stage, increase the flame to high and once the soup starts to boil, reduce it to low and let it simmer.
- Let the soup reduce to about eight cups which will take a little less than an hour.
- Now remove the soup from the flame and let it cool.
- Remove the thyme sprigs and puree the soup, batch by batch till you get a smooth texture.
- Now, put the soup back in the vessel and let it warm up.
- Add the cream, salt and pepper seasoning and let it simmer for 15 minutes to let the flavours blend.
