Chicken Masala Balls Recipe
Chicken masala balls are made using chicken ground with a variety of spices that is shaped into balls and deep fried.
Like any deep fried dish, it’s both delicious and indulgent. Serve these masala balls with chutney as an appetiser or with rice and gravy or rasam as a main course. Adjust the spices as per your taste.

Ingredients
- 1/2 kg Boneless Chicken
- 250 grams onions finely sliced
- 10 green chillies
- 5 Red chillies dried
- 20 garlic flakes
- 3 inch piece of ginger chopped
- A handful of coriander leaves chopped
- 4 tbsp coriander seeds
- 1 1/2 tbsp Cumin seeds
- 2 inch cinnamon stick
- 3 green cardamoms
- 6 Cloves
- 20 Cashew nuts
- salt to taste
- Oil for deep frying

Instructions
- Heat a little oil in a pan and fry the whole spices (including the seeds) along with the cashew nuts for a minute or so.
- Allow these spices to cool and then grind them with the ginger, garlic and green chillies.
- Add the onions, chicken, salt to taste and coriander leaves to this ground paste and grind again until the paste becomes smooth.
- Mix one tablespoon of oil into this paste and then shape it into lemon sized balls.
- Heat enough oil for deep frying and then fry these balls until they become golden.
- Serve hot!
