Downton Abbey Mrs. Isobel Crawley’s Smoked Salmon Tea Sandwiches Recipe
This Sunday, the grand finale of period drama Downton Abbey will air, causing fans across the world pain, but also – hopefully – help them get closure.
A Little About Downton Abbey
Set in Downton Abbey in Yorkshire during the reign of King George V, the Tv show follows the Crawley family, headed by the Earl and Countess of Gratham and their staff. It’s a period drama that has won fans across the world for its realistic portrayal, story, magnificent sets and lauded acting.
Throwing A Farewell To Downton Tea Party?
Some major scenes in the show take place when there’s food involved; whether in the kitchen of the mansion or during tea or dinner time. If we were throwing a party to say goodbye to Downton Abbey, we think it would be a high tea – there’s something so very British, right?
One dish that we would serve would be smoked salmon sandwiches from Emily Baines’ Unofficial Downton Abbey Cookbook’. We’ve tried this recipe once or twice and love the combination of fresh flavours.
Serve these sandwiches with tea.
