- 1 cup sugar
- 1 2/3 cups all purpose flour
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
- 3/4 teaspoon mace
- teaspoon ½salt
- teaspoon ¼ground cloves
- teaspoon ¼nutmeg
- teaspoon ½baking powder
- 2 eggs
- cup ½butter melted
- 1 cup canned pumpkin or boiled pumpkin
- 1 cup chocolate pieces dark or semi-sweetened

Method
- Grease the muffin tins and set aside.
- In A bowl, mix together the dry ingredients - all purpose flour, sugar, cinnamon, mace, nutmeg, clove powder, salt, baking soda and baking powder and set aside.
- In another bowl, mix eggs, pumpkin and melted butter.
- Add the wet ingredients to the dry and mix well. Add chocolate pieces and mix again.
- Fill the muffin tins to till two thirds full. Bake the muffins in a 350 degree F oven for 20 to 25 minutes. Insert a wooden toothpick into centers of the muffins to check if it comes out clean.
