Gilmore Girls Wonton Soup Recipe
The Gilmore Girls have taught us to eat like there’s no tomorrow and that every emotion is directly related to a food craving. They specially liked to rely on Chinese food orders. That’s why we bring you this wonton soup which soothes a cold, a heartbreak or simply feels warm and fuzzy during winters!

Ingredients
- 1/2 pound chopped boneless pork loin
- 2 ounces peeled and chopped shrimp
- 1 tsp brown sugar
- 1 tbsp Chinese white rice
- 1 tbsp light soy sauce
- 1 tsp finely chopped green onion
- 1 tsp chopped ginger root
- 24 wonton wrappers
- 3 cups chicken stock
- 1/8 cup finely chopped green onion

Instructions
- Put together the pork, shrimp, sugar, wine, soy sauce, a teaspoon of chopped green onion along with the ginger in a large bowl.
- Mix the ingredients till well combined and then leave it aside for about half an hour.
- On a work surface spread a wonton sheet and place about a teaspoon of the stuffing onto the center.
- To seal the wonton, moisten the edges using water and bring alternate corners together and then press to seal it completely.
- Repeat till all the wontons are ready and while you do this keep the chicken stock on a low flame till it starts to boil.
- Once the wontons are done and the chicken stock is on full boil, drop the wontons in the stock and cook for about five minutes.
- Pour the soup in serving bowls, garnish with green onions and serve hot.
