iZombie ‘Brain’ Pizza Recipe
You wouldn’t think human brains would be delicious, but Liv in iZombie certainly has a way of making them seem appealing. Well, not the brains themselves, but the dishes she put them in look pretty darn delicious. There’s a brain stuffed pizza pocket, a brain slushie, a brain salad and a brain pizza.
The Brain Pizza
While there’s a lot of brain filled food on the show, one of the most memorable food moments is when Clive steals a bit of Liv’s pizza much to her and Ravi’s horror. After eating a bite, however, he only asks whether it has mushrooms, complaining that he’s not a big fan of mushrooms.
Of course, the mushrooms are actually pieces of a teenager’s brain, which gives Liv visions leading her to his killer.
We’ve put together a recipe inspired by the moment, substituting brains with shrimps since we’re not zombies (yet) and not big fans of brains in our food. And, be warned; the pizza is spicy, because you know zombies love it that way. Serve it for lunch or dinner and enjoy!
