Lemon Butter Fish Recipe

on

Fish lovers, listen up! To follow up last week’s fiery spicy baked basa, we’ve got yet another delicious recipe for you. This one’s low on the spice and high on richness and butter. Behold, the fish in lemon butter sauce, a.k.a. lemon butter fish ! A truly delicious recipe, this ones for those who like their food flavoursome but mild.

You could make this preparation with a variety of white fish like white sea bass, cod, hake, striped bass, and others but we prefer good ol’ cod. The recipe is simple and packs some really palatable flavours stemming from ingredients like lemon, paprika, oregano, Worcestershire sauce, butter, and more that makes for a rich sauce and an excellent accompaniment to the pan-fried cod. So gather your sauces and pans to whip up a delicious fish in lemon butter sauce this weekend!

Instructions
For The Sauce:
  1. Heat a large skillet over high heat.
  2. Add the wine, lemon juice, garlic, and shallots and cook for 3 minutes.
  3. Stir in the salt, pepper, Worcestershire, and hot sauce and simmer until the mixture is slightly thick, about 3 minutes.
  4. Stir in the cream and cook for 1 minute.
  5. Over low heat, whisk in the butter a few pats at a time. Continue whisking until all of the butter is combined with the sauce.
For The Fish:
  1. Mix fish spice blend ingredients together.
  2. Season both the fish and flour with spices and dredge the fish in the seasoned flour or panko/almond mixture, coating completely.
  3. In a large pan, heat the olive oil and pan-fry the fish for about 4 minutes on each side.
  4. To serve, drizzle some lemon butter sauce on each plate. Top with fish and drizzle more sauce over top of fish. Garnish with fresh parsley.
