Shikarpuri Chatkhara Karhai
A delicacy from Karachi, the Shikarpuri Chatkhara Karhai is a meat dish with a rich gravy consisting of whole and crushed spices. The preparation is spicy and perfect to satiate your spice buds.

Ingredients
- 1 kg Chicken
- 2 tbsp Ginger paste
- 1 tbsp ½garlic paste
- 150 g Desi Ghee
- 1 tsp red chilli powder
- 1 tsp Turmeric powder
- 1 tsp black pepper crushed
- 1 tsp Cumin seeds
- tsp One and a halfred chilli crushed
- 1 tsp dry ginger powder
- salt to taste
- 500 g tomato
- 1 onion
- 4 green chillies
- 1 cup yogurt
- tsp ½garam masala powder
- 100 g green coriander for garnish

Instructions
- Wash and clean the chicken.
- Heat ghee in a kadhai and sauté the ginger and garlic, and put in the chicken.
- Fry for 2 minutes and then put all the spices except garam masala, along with tomato, onion and green chillies. Cook on a slow flame.
- Put yoghurt and sauté well till slightly dry.
- Add garam masala and cook for 2-3 minutes.
- Garnish with green coriander and serve hot.
