This Republic Day, Celebrate India’s Multi-Cultural Canvas At The ‘Bharat Parv’ In Delhi
This 26th January will not only the beginning of a much-awaited long weekend but also India’s 69th Republic Day. 69 is a massive number, and to celebrate this annual milestone, the Government of Indian is organizing the ‘Bharat Parv’ at the Red Fort from January 26 to 31, 2018, as part of Republic Day celebrations.
As the name suggests, the event will celebrate India in all its multi-cultural and diverse glory. With the Ministry of Tourism at its helm, the objective of Bharat Parv is to create a patriotic vibe while promoting the rich cultural diversity of the country. To do the same, the week-long festival will feature display of Republic Day parade tableaux, performances by the armed forces bands (static as well as dynamic), a multi-cuisine food court, craft mela, cultural performances from different regions of the country and Photo Exhibition by the Directorate of Advertising and Visual Publicity (DAVP).
While there is a whole bunch of attractions including traditional dance performances and a colossal craft mela with 50 stalls showcasing India’s handicrafts, our main motive is the food court. The National Association of Street Vendors of India (NASVI) along with the states and union territories will set up stalls and kiosks that will roll out a mélange of authentic Indian grubs.
The Bharat Parv event will be inaugurated at 5 pm on January 26 and would be open for public till 10 pm. From January 27 to 31, the event will be open from 12 pm to 10 pm. The event is open to public and entry is free. However, don’t forget to carry a valid identity proof to the event.
