Soak Yourself In Beer At Bjorbodin Spa In Iceland
Part of Kaldi Brewery in Iceland the beer spa called Bjórböðin opened up in June and is providing beer baths to its customers. Kaldi is one of the oldest breweries in the country and their beers are made using water from a spring at Sólarfjall mountain. While the beer baths may not be fit for consumption, you sure can fill up a glass from the draught during the spa. Provided that you’re above 20 years of age of course.
There is no age limit to the beer bath which is made up of warm beer, water, yeast and hops poured and mixed in tubs made out of Kambala wood. Two people can bathe at the same time for 25 minutes and then they are shifted to a relaxation room for another 25 minutes. The bath is said to be good for skin, hair and as well as for health.
You can also take a dip into their hot water baths which are outdoors and provide a scenic view of the Hrísey island, mountains and Þorvalds valley. 8-10 people can be accommodated in the hot tubs and so you can bring your friends along for this experience. The Bjorbodin Spa also have a restaurant that makes delicious burgers, fries, nachos and serves a variety of alcohol as well. Have a look at the video below to catch a glimpse of the experience.
