Starbucks Cancels The “Evenings” And Will No Longer Serve Wine And Tapas
Remember when Starbucks introduced wine and tapas evenings? Well, you can forget about it because they’re putting those “Evenings” on the burner. Long gone are the nights that brought customers in Starbucks beer, wine and small plates at their 400 stores in Seattle.
Launched in 2010, the Evenings was officially launched in stores in 2014, the menu included items as bacon-wrapped dates and spinach-artichoke dip along with craft beer and wines. As of today, these items will be taken off the menu. A Starbucks spokesperson spoke about this decision and said, “This will allow the majority of our locations to focus on our core business, continuing to deliver the Starbucks experience for our customers while optimizing the evening for our premium customer.”
Starbucks customers who are going to miss this initiative don’t have to worry too much, the beer, wine and other spirits will find their way onto the menus of Reserve and Roastery locations.
Also, don’t worry about losing the tapas, because they’re introducing new menu items including sous vide egg bites, a bread-free breakfast option that is perfect for the low-carb crowd which will debut next week. And they’ve also added two new drinks – a Smoked Butterscotch Latte and the Cascara Latte. The Cascara Latte has been making headlines with the new and interesting flavours that are present in the drink and reportedly has a flavour reminiscent of maple and molasses.
