Starbucks has Invited Microsoft CEO Satya Nadella To Join Its Board

Global coffee chain, Starbucks has invited Satya Nadella, Microsoft’s CEO to join the Board of Starbucks. Following the resignation of Starbucks’ current CEO, Howard Schultz, Starbucks believes Nadella will be able to enhance the company’s operations with his “extensive experience and an understanding of how technology will be used and experienced around the world.”

Satya Nadella’s Story

Nadella was born in India in 1967 and attended the Hyderabad Public School before receiving his Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering from the Manipal Institute of Technology. After receiving a MS Degree in computer science from the University of Wisconsin- Milwaukee and an MBA from the University of Chicago Booth School of Business, he worked with Sub Microsystems.

He then joined Microsoft where he was made CEO in CEO.

Nadella To Join The Starbucks Board

Starbucks has nominated Nadella to join the board along with Rosalind Brewers and Jorgen Vig Knudstorp. The nomination requires the approvals of shareholders in the company who will meet in March.
