A Subway Outlet Spent The Day Teaching Children About The Importance Of Healthy Eating
Over the past few years, the world has seen a sharp increase in obesity both among adults and children. Sedentary lifestyles and poor diets are both to blame. Considering the several harmful effects of obesity, it’s important to educate children on the importance of healthy diets.
A few days ago a Subway restaurant in Trimulgherry did just that. The restaurant invited 25 students from the Jain Heritage school to an outlet to learn about Subway’s commitment to healthy eating.
Tours, Games and Sub Making
After a presentation on Subway’s history and the brand, the children were given a tour of the restaurant where they saw Subway’s bread baking processers and were then taken through the hygiene and safety steps behind preparing vegetables, meats and other ingredients.
Finally, the children were given a short quiz; the winners were allowed behind the Subway counter to create their own subs. Finally, the children were given Subway cookie platters and customised giveaways and walked away with a better understanding of healthy eating.
