Thanks To Jennifer Garner, We May Soon Trade Corn Chips For Cheesy Kale Chips
Actor Jennifer Garner has of late been lighting up our social media feeds with her make-believe quirky yet informative ‘Pretend Cooking Show’, and while we’re not sure whether the less than five video series is a legit “series” yet, we sure have been blessed with yet another interesting recipe – crunchy kale chips dusted with parmesan cheese.
In a recent Instagram post, Garner shared a substitute for regular nacho chips. Just in case you want to avoid the extra calories that come along with the crispy corn chips. The 13 Going On 30 actor captioned her series of images saying “Blue corn chips are my nemesis.?? Kale chips are my ✅✅.. I bet your kids like them.”
Garner went on to give a solution for the corn chip problem in the form of an all-green chip recipe that is made with fresh kale. While the actress suggests we use Dinosaur kale, she added that all kale works as long as it is fresh and green.
Here’s the recipe for Garners healthy and crunchy Kale chips:
Ingredients
Kale (preferable dinosaur)
Olive oil
Salt
Grated Parmesan cheese (optional)
Instructions
- Pick, clean, dry. Cut the rib out of the center of large pieces.
- Coat in olive oil. Add salt. Add grated Parmesan if you like.
- Oven at 200 degrees. Stick it in the oven, preferably on a cooling rack over a cookie sheet. Start checking periodically at 15 min, but wait until it’s crispy—closer to 25 min.
