Three QSR Chains Who Have Been Handing Out Food And Drinks At Bank Queues
Over the past two weeks, India has had a bit of a crisis following demonetization, where Rs.500 and Rs.1000 notes became defunct. Queues outside banks and ATMs are (almost) as long as the Great Wall of China and restaurants have reported a slump in customers immediately after the demonetization.
However, as the saying goes, whenever there’s a cloud, there’s a silver lining. A few QSR chains across the country played the fairy godmother when they visited bank queues to hand out free food and drinks to queues. Here are three such chains:
Genuine Boaster Chicken
Genuine Boaster Chicken was serving fresh lemon juice to people in bank and ATM queues in Versova, Surat and Raipur; all locations where the brand has an outlet.
Pizza Hut
Hats off to @PizzaHutIN for offering pizza to people standing in long queues. Have a look.#PizzaHutForIndia pic.twitter.com/ybu2skchwD

Pizza Hut did rounds in Delhi, Mumbai, Gurgaon, Pune and Bangalore paying visits to banks like ICICI, HDFC, Corporation Bank and the Bank Of Baroda for a weekend. Its employees were handing out free slices of pan pizza as well as glasses of water.
Subway
Subway franchises in Mumbai and Odisha paid visits to bank employees- who have been put in charge of managing queues, irate customers, withdrawals and deposits – with their signature Subway submarine sandwiches.
