Tonnes Of Genetically Modified Salmon Enter The Canadian Food Market
There has been a release of four and a half tonnes of genetically modified salmon in the Canadian Food Markets according to Quartz and there is no way to find out how. The fish was sold by AquaBounty Technologies which is based in Massachusetts and was purchased by Canadian retailers, restaurants, and even food service operators.

Further reports by Quartz says that the Canadian government does not label the genetically modified (GM) foods. “The first immediate concern is from Canadian consumers,” says Lucy Sharratt, a coordinator of the Canadian Biotechnology Action Network, a group skeptical of GM foods to Quartz. “Many of them want to know where it is on the grocery store shelves because they don’t want to be eating it, or they want the choice.”
