Now, for all of you looking for healthy and lean snacking options this winter, this recipe may prove to be a revelation. But for a majority of the population, the holiday season is synonymous with overeating, leftover bingeing, and stretchy pants. And needless to say, Twitter was appalled and did not go easy on NYT’s recipe calling it an “abomination” and even “un-American”.

This is not the first time that the Times’ Food section has stirred up the Twitterverse. In 2015, it casually floated out a guacamole recipe that required green peas, successfully uninviting itself from all Cinco de Mayo parties. But that’s in the past. What do you think about their latest recipe? Is it an abomination or would you actually give it a try? Vote below and let us know!
