If You’re Vegetarian Then This Country Should Be Your Top Travel Destination

on

Travelling around the world can be tough. Especially if you’re a vegetarian from India. Not only do you have to cope with the fact that most of the food abroad contains non-vegetarian elements (parmesan, you traitor) but also, much of the food available is a far cry from what their staple diet is usually.

However, according to a survey conducted by Cox & Kings, it seems that we have finally found a winner when it comes to vegetarian food. Unlikely as it may seem, in fact, the country which emerged as the preferred destination was Israel.

The survey had a sample size of  5000 with age groups ranging between 20 and 65-year-olds and was conducted from January to March 2017.

In the survey, titled ‘Top vegetarian-friendly destinations and preferences of Indian vegetarian outbound travellers’, Israel has come out comfortably in the top 10 in the list of destinations. Other destinations to have featured on the list are Dubai, United Kingdom and Singapore.

What seems to be working in Israel’s favour is the increase in the number of restaurants catering to vegetarians as well as a growing number of visitors from the subcontinent. So, planning your next vacation (or bae-cation) you know where to go.
