Wonderchef Just Scored $5 Million In Funding From The Labruyère Group
Wonderchef, a cookware brand has just announced that it has received a $5 million investment from Labruyère Group, a. French investment group.
Wonderchef was founded in 2009 by celebrity chef Sanjeev Kapoor and Ravi Saxena. Under the Wonderchef banner, it retails high end kitchen appliances, cookware and bake ware and also imports other premium appliances.
The Funding
“This is a strategic partnership and the Group is investing upto USD 5 million over the next two years in Wonderchef to support us in our growth,” Wonderchef Managing Director Ravi Saxena said in a statement.
He added that they will use the funds to strengthen the brand reach and to visibility through advertising as well as to expand their manufacturing capabilities.
Meanwhile, Labruyere Eberle CEO Vincent Labruyere said, “we want to focus our investments towards growing companies in consumer goods industry in India and Wonderchef perfectly fits with this strategy. We intend to begin our partnership with Wonderchef on a positive note and go a long way in growing its business in India. For this, we plan to add to our investments in the company in coming years.”
The Labruyère Group has in India’s Sula and Grover Zampa brands.
