Michelle Obama Is Leaving Behind Something Legendary At The White House
While Mr. President-Elect and his family are packing their boxes to move into 1600 Pennsylvania Ave., a.k.a., The White House, the current POTUS and FLOTUS are packing theirs to move out. Sad and deeply disturbing as that may sound, Michelle Obama is leaving behind something in the White House garden to be remembered by – her sprawling vegetable garden.
The First Lady’s well-manicured vegetable garden has formerly been a constant source of fresh fruits and vegetables for state dinners and family meals. Additionally, the excess produce from the garden goes to local nonprofits, reports Refinery 29.

The White House Kitchen Garden was laid down in 2009, shortly after Barrack Obama was sworn in as President. The sprawling patch of edibles is spread out over a massive 3,000 sq. ft. area on the South Lawn at the White House.
Extra efforts have been made to ensure that the new President, Donald Trump – who is anyway most probably going to serve Donkey Sauce and mac n’ cheese at his state dinners – doesn’t rid the White House landscape of this vegetable garden.
In October this year, Michelle Obama revealed an expansion of the green patch. This extension came fortified with cement, stone, and steel to make it a more permanent feature. She also revealed that a sum of USD 2.5m had been secured through private funding, which will be channeled towards the up keep of her garden that will be maintained by the country’s National Park Service.

“This little garden will live on as a symbol of the hopes and dreams we all hold of growing a healthier nation for our children,” she said last month at a ceremony to dedicate a new arbor entryway. “I am hopeful that future first families will cherish this garden like we have, and that it will become one of our enduring White House traditions.”
And while many may think that digging up thousands of square feet of vegetables is absurd, it really isn’t for the Trump clan. Anne Coulter, who is a close associate of Trump’s, reportedly, expressed her views on turning the garden into a golf patch. Ouch.
I respectfully suggest a new name for Michelle's White House vegetable garden: "Putting green"

Meanwhile, President Obama is sure of the fact that Trump will “dig up the garden”. And he’s NOT joking.

Well, despite all that’s going on at the South Lawns and the Oval Office, we sure do hope that Trump’s fast-food and steak loving side doesn’t get the better of him while going over his new crib’s landscaping!
