5 Finger Food at The Moon and Sixpence you will Love to the Moon and back
They gave us quite a start(er).
An Irish proverb proudly states that laughter is the loudest when the food is the best. And if that is true, we’re about to get into hysterical fits of laughter.
Moon and Sixpence, Chennai is tweaking their menu and we decided that we’d love to peck at a few of the specials before they’re out. They’re bringing out a grilled cottage cheese starter that is delightfully soft and tender. It melts in the mouth and is packed with flavour. If you ever visit Moon and Sixpence, or the Hablis or if you’re in the neighbourhood or if you’re flying to a neighbouring country, you need to drop in and taste this. It is worth it!
Meanwhile, their existing menu has a few exciting choices as well.
Blackened Chicken
This is a spicy dish with a dash of pepper. Served with a seasoned mayo, the sauce and the dish complement each other perfectly.
Mini Lamb Burger
We were told that this is a big hit with the customers and we saw why. An adorably-sized burger was presented to us. Be warned though, this one is tricky to share and is meant for one person.
Pesto grilled Prawn
So we’re not being partial to this because prawn is a bit of a weakness for this writer. But this was a beautifully presented dish that tasted divine.
Mushroom Dumpling
Tiny mushroom dumplings looked absolutely adorable on the plate. The mushrooms were very fresh and tasted very unique.
Fish and Chips
Yes, this is a classic. But that’s what makes it all the more difficult for someone to perfect it because there are so many places that you can compare it, with. If we were in the business of comparing this, it will definitely be among the top of the list.
