Want To Eat At Virat Kohli’s Favourite Spot In Delhi? Here’s Where You Should Be Headed!

on

If you’re a Delhi boy/girl or Punjabi, then you’re bound to have a few special hangout spots in the Capital. More so if you’re both, just like Indian skipper Virat Kohli who was in the Capital early last month and couldn’t stop gushing about one up market restaurant in particular – Nueva. And once you’ve read all about the place, you’ll have a new found respect for the eatery and Kohli’s food choices (not that we don’t already)!

Nestled in Delhi’s up and coming popular gastronomical hub, Sangam Courtyard (RK Puram), Nueva offers up an authentic contemporary South American spread that draws inspiration from the territory’s Spanish, French, Italian, Portuguese, Asian, and Japanese. The restaurant is the first of its kind restaurant in not just Delhi but in India as well. Add to that a star-studded clientele and two-time Gourmand Award winning Chef Michael Swamy at its helm, and you have yourself a complete gastronomical package!

That said, the place might have a few hiccups like a missing liquor license, which is under progress. But we don’t see why alcohol should be the reason you give up a chance to enjoy preparations like Ceviche de Camarones, Sopa Brasilena de Frijol Negro (Brazilian Black Bean Soup), Pariheula (Peruvian Fishermen’s Soup), spicy mole and more!

Kohli, for one, was the least concerned about washing down his fancy fare with a pint. The cricketer took to Instagram to confess his love for the place as he posted a picture with the chef de cuisine, Swamy, with a caption that read: “About last night at this cool new spot in delhi called ‘nueva’. A picture with the super chef mr Michael swami was a must ✌️??. Loved the food and the ambience as well. Top spot.”

So, when are you headed to Nueva?
