FOOD ON WHEELS
i can safely say this is my favorite place in the entire faridabad when i wana have north indian food…so i was eager enough to let people know how great this hidden gem…
ambiance:
well its a completely new concept….most say its a foreign concept…their name truly suggest their motto….its a live kitchen serving yummy food on wheels…i.e a metal kitchen has been attached to an electric rikshaw/mopet….and luckily they are stationed near my house, on the main/mall road of green fields colony,( opposite nhpc chowk), near gate no. 5.they deliver lunch combos during 12-3 pm and then there is an option of delivery or takeaway from the live kitchen during evening hours…
being on the main road with all the possible hygienic hazards….this place is pretty clean and hygienic…
service:
well its run by a family residing in greenfields, and so i can say the owners as well as the staff members…all are very friendly…infact the owners are very suggestive and understanding….!!!
now about the service….its sometimes a little slow…but that both a positive and negative thing…negative well obviously cuz waiting for yummy food s a bit difficult…but positive cuz it is always so over crowded that there is always a waiting…which speaks volumes about the quality of food…!!! they serve in disposable well cuz its a delivery/take away outlet!!! but the quantity…oh my….a single dish cannot be finished by a single person…and well…they use butter/cream way too generously….!!
food:
coming to the main and best part…
well by now i have had almost everything on the menu they have to offer…unfortunately i am always so hungry that i barely bothered taking time out for clicking pics…
and its not possible for me to give a description of each and every dish i had…so i will just give a brief about my last dinner, i ordered for family n friends here….
last night i ordered:
bharwan chaap: whole tandoori chaap filled with spicy paneer and chilly mince…
stuffed tangri: creamy, succulent chicken leg stuffed with chicken seekh keema and cream..
chicken malai tikka: juicy little morsels of creamy chicken tikkas..
mutton roganjosh: yummy spicy gravy with floating oil and succulent pieces of mutton….they have quite a variety of mutton parts to offer…so you can ask for your favourite one to be used in your dish!!
kadhai paneer: mildly spiced gravy with melt in your mouth paneer…
handi chaap: this was a out of the menu, special preparation for me..where i got to experience the best of both worlds…spicy thick gravy with chaap pieces and minced chicken seekh keema..it added to the texture…yumm!
butter chicken: a perfectly balanced slightly sweet n salty creamy butter gravy with soft chicken pieces…
tawa mutton seekh: thick rich gravy with thick pieces of mutton seekh garnished with a lil extra cream n butter!!! one of my favorites..
and to go with it a round of butter naan, lacha paratha, roomali roti, garlic naan: crisp thin naan with a subtle garlic taste… tandoori and butter roti, n keema naan: this was awesome….stuffed naan with mutton/chicken seekh keema, onion, garlic n coriander filling!!….all the breads were thin and crisp…with the right amount of required flavor and texture…
on several occasions i have ordered their rolls which are again amazing…unlike others…their rolls have ample amount of filling and mind you not that of onion or other condiments but of the paneer/chaap/mutton/chicken…whatever you order..
also it being an open eatery…the best part is i can walk my pet down there and feed him too…and well the amount of love he gathers around is….awesome!!
the total bill for all 8 dishes and a good number of breads (around 15) came to be: Rs. 2200(inclusive of tip)…and we were a group of 15 sumthn ppl and well we couldnt finish the entire meal!!!
well yeah sometimes i didn’t get the best of food….but no complains when mostly you do…and on top get some special treatment!! this is my favorite go to place for indian food and even though it seems the rates are that of a decent restaurant, though it being a mere food cart…mind you…the quantity they serve and the taste of the food is worth it all….and esp. when you don’t have to pay extra taxes i call it pretty moderate pricing!!
i highly recommend this place for all yummy north indian food(especially non veg) at nominal prices!! unfortunately like i said i couldn’
