Salmon in Coconut Sauce Recipe

Ingredients
- Salmon steak 1 thick
- Thick coconut milk 1 cup
- Oil 4 tablespoons
- Onion chopped1 medium
- salt to taste
- Garam masala powder a pinch
- Lemon juice 3 tablespoons
- Tomato chopped1 large
- Red chilli powder 1/4 teaspoon
- Paprika powder 1/4 teaspoon
- Turmeric powder 1/4 teaspoon
- Crushed fresh green chillies 1/4 teaspoon
- potatoes (boiled peeled and mashed2 tablespoons
- Spring onion greens chopped2 tablespoons

Instructions
- Heat 2 tbsps oil in a pan, add onions and saute.
- Sprinkle salt and garam masala over the salmon steak. Pour lemon juice over the steak.
- When the onions are lightly coloured add tomatoes, mix and saute for 2 minutes.
- Add red chilli powder, paprika powder and turmeric powder, mix and saute for 2 minutes.
- Add crushed green chillies and thick coconut milk and mix. Add mashed potatoes and mix well and saute for 2 minutes.
- Add salt and mix well. Take the pan off the heat.
- Heat the remaining oil in another pan, add the salmon steak, skin side facing the pan and cook, cover with the pan with the sauce.
- Add spring onion greens to the sauce and mix.
- When the underside of the salmon steak is done, gently flip it over and cook the other side.
- Spread some of the sauce in a serving plate, place the salmon steak over the sauce, sprinkle some paprika powder all around and serve hot.
